Sometimes they are depicted with wings, sometimes without. They have appeared in literature by such diverse authors as J.M. Barrie, J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry Pratchett and Shakespeare, to name a few. Fairies are said by some to be angels that have fallen from Heaven but not being evil enough for Hell, they are trapped on earth and compelled to small trickery and household devilment. However fairies are also regarded by some as elementals such as Spirits of the Air and were worshiped as Gods and Godesses. We leave it up to you to decide!
