Motorhead And Anthrax UK Tour Dates

collaboration of two giants in the Metal world from both sides of the pond. British Motorhead and American Anthrax together in one tour.

Motorhead are promoting latest album ”The World Is Yours” and DVD release, “The World Is Ours Vol. 1.”. Anthrax are also touring to support their new album “Worship Music” the first studio album they have produced in eight years.

Motorhead was formed by bassist, singer and songwriter Lemmy Kilmister, in 1975 (which makes it nearly as old as I am) Usually a power trio, Motorhead had huge success in the early ’80′s with several singles in the UK Top 40 chart. The albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades, and particularly No Sleep ’til Hammersmith, made Motörhead’s one of Britain’s foremost rock bands.

Motorhead’s lyrics tend to cover topics as war, abuse of power, good versus evil, gambling, and good ol’ Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll. Even the name “Motorhead” is a reference to users of the drug amphetamine.

When thrash metal began to gain a major following in the mid-to-late 1980s, Anthrax were dubbed one of the “big four” of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. They were also one of the early thrash metal bands to sign to a major label (Island Records, in 1985).

Singer Joey Belladonna has returned to Anthrax and appears on Worship Music which is his first studio album with the band since the ”90′s

November 17 – London, UK – 02 Academy Brixton

November 18 – Bristol, UK – Colston Hall

This looks to be an amazing tour: The meeting of two great international bands in one gig!
